AUF Statement on Pennsylvania Legislation

"I want to applaud Pennsylvania Competes and the coalition of businesses, universities and local  advocates that have signed on to support a bipartisan effort to pass nondiscrimination legislation that would protect LGBT citizens from discrimination in the workplace and in their daily lives," said Tyler Deaton, Senior Advisor to American Unity Fund. 

Deaton continued, "We urge the Pennsylvania General Assembly to introduce and pass the Pennsylvania Fairness Act swiftly so gay and transgender citizens won't have to worry about being evicted from their home or fired for who they are or who they love.  A statewide  nondiscrimination law would provide protections to ensure all LGBT citizens in the Keystone state are treated fairly and are protected under the law."
