Dancing in the Red Snow

Win Dancing in the Red Snow by Elizabeth Cain! To enter the contest, fill out the form below between January 20 and February 10.

On November 19, a federal judge overruled Montana's ban on same-sex marriage. Elizabeth Cain is from Lincoln, MT and was running for the State House Legislature for district 80. While she was running on a platform supporting diversity and equal rights, she was also in the process of penning a novel, "Dancing in the Red Snow," which has just been released.

In the novel, years after being kidnapped, the main character feels simultaneously drawn to a role in the Catholic Church as well as an attraction to another woman. As she struggles to reconcile her faith and her nature, she is presented with several bits of dubious advice and murky moral decisions that have been experienced by homosexuals and heterosexuals alike. She struggles to understand her relationship with God as well as her romantic feelings, wondering all the while whose favor she should be winning—the Church or her own heart?

"Equality, tolerance and understanding are the cornerstones of a free society and what makes the U.S. such a wonderful country… on paper," Cain said. "I have made it a goal of mine to do what I can to have America return to the principles we were supposedly founded under."

Unfortunately, Cain lost the election.
