LGBT Studies Colloquium

Allegheny College

Saturday, March 11, 2006

1:00-5:00 PM

Campus Center 301 & 302

Allegheny Pride Alliance and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies minor welcome you to the inaugural LGBT Studies Colloquium at Allegheny College.  This event provides an opportunity to create a space where all members of the campus community can share research, pedagogy, and strategies for campus activism on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues.

The Colloquium is open to all members of the campus community and the broader public, and we invite you to attend as many sessions as you wish.*  The sessions have been organized around common themes, and each will include a brief question and answer period after a short presentation by each panelist.  The event will begin with a keynote address by Reverend John Colatch, former Allegheny College chaplain and current Chaplain and Director of Religious Life at Lafayette College.

"Practices of Hospitality Can Function as a Prophetic Witness of Welcome to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Persons in the Church"—John Patrick Colatch, D. Min.
