Pride Picnic a Great Time

The League of Gay and Lesbian Voters (LGLV) organized the 3rd annual Erie Pride Picnic at a cabin near Beach 6 on Saturday, June 10, 1995. The principal organizers were Greg Valiga and Elaine Hill. This was a few weeks after the GLBT float that was in the Erie Bicentennial Parade. The flat had been vandalized and rebuilt, and pieces from the float were on display at the picnic.

The NW PA Pride Alliance, Inc. works to improve visibility of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersexed and Ally/Asexual (LGBTQIA) community. It also facilitates communication and collaboration between groups and individuals within the region's LGBTQIA community and the greater region's community, while respecting individual and group identity.
