Pride Journey: Indianapolis

The last time I wrote an article about Indianapolis was back before I was living here. Sometimes you view a city differently as a tourist, so I decided to become a tourist again to explore my beautiful city. Indianapolis is in my opinion one of the most underrated cities in the country. Its people, culture, and opportunities are some of the greatest strengths of the city, not to mention, a thriving LGBTQ culture. Pride is celebrated here throughout the year. You can walk through neighborhoods and see countless rainbow flags hanging proudly from homes and businesses all year roun

Pride Journey: Palm Beach

Pride Journey: Palm Beach
On my recent visit to The Palm Beaches, I wanted to explore parts of the region I hadn't had the chance to visit when I lived in the area a little of a decade ago. Palm Beach County encompassed dozens of cities and towns, each with its own unique charm and attractions. While most people think of Florida's beaches as the main attraction in the Sunshine State, Palm Beach County stretches all the way to the Everglades in the west and has developed into one of the top agri-tourism destinations in the country.

BREAKING: Utah Poised to Become First State to Veto Anti-Trans Sports Ban in 2022

Salt Lake City, Utah - March 5, 2022 - Early this morning, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox pledged to veto House Bill 11 - anti-transgender legislation that would ban transgender youth from participating in school sports, and which was approved late night and sent to the governor's desk. With the governor's pledge to veto the bill, Utah is poised to become the first state this year to reject an anti-trans sports bill approved by the legislature. Gov. Cox's pledge to veto the bill - which was hastily pushed through the Senate on the last night of Utah's legislative session - was met with resounding praise and appreciation for standing up on behalf of transgender student athletes who the governor addressed by saying, "I just want them to know that it's gonna be okay."

GENDER AFFIRMING CARE: Setting the Record Straight As Extremist Politicians in Texas and Other States Continue Doubling Down on Attacking Trans Youth

WASHINGTON, D.C. - March 2, 2022 - Lawmakers in statehouses across the country are doubling down on attacking trans youth, embarking on a reckless, unprecedented misinformation campaign to justify harmful policies to prevent transgender children from being able to access age-appropriate, medically-necessary, gender affirming care - and in some cases, as in Alabama and Texas, attach criminal penalties to those who allow such care. While these attacks are popping up in states across the country - including in Alabama, Florida, Iowa, Oklahoma and many others - actions this week in Texas by Gov. Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton are coming into national focus after bombshell reports indicate Texas officials are now actively investigating and targeting parents of transgender adolescents for what the governor is falsely calling "child abuse."

Thousands of Parents Join Human Rights Campaign in Condemning State Attacks on Transgender and Non-Binary Youth

WASHINGTON - March 2, 2022 - Today, more than 2,500 parents from all 50 U.S. states and Washington D.C. issued an open letter organized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) civil rights organization, condemning the avalanche of anti-transgender legislation moving in legislatures across the country. There are dozens of bills filed in state legislatures across the country attempting to criminalize or prevent access to age-appropriate, medically-necessary, gender-affirming care, forbid transgender youth from playing sports consistent with their gender identity, and preventing transgender youth from accessing school restrooms consistent with their gender identity. Further, legislatures are trying to ban books that include LGBTQ+ characters or themes, censor curriculum content, and allow teachers to refuse to use a student's preferred name or correct pronouns. And last night, in his State of the Union speech, President Joe Biden condemned the "onslaught of state laws targeting transgender Americans," pledging support for trans youth being targeted by lawmakers in statehouses across the country. "To our younger transgender Americans, I will always have your back as President, so you can be yourself and reach your God-given potential."

Sex, Kink and Consent

Have you ever been in an uncomfortable situation where someone tried to kiss or touch you and you didn't want it?< Have you ever kissed or touched someone else without asking for their consent? Jump ahead to 2020 with over two and a half decades of continuous research, the COVID-19 global pandemic presents a prime opportunity to utilize a new instrument in the toolkit of mitigating a global health crisis. mRNA vaccines have proven they are effective and just might herald a new chapter in health prevention, specifically for HIV.
