Tables at Pride Fest on June 29
NW PA Pride Alliance invites you to participate as a table at this year's Pride Fest! The event will be held on Saturday, June 29 from 1 to 3:30 PM in Perry Square at W. 6th and State, Erie PA. Set-up will begin at 11AM. All tables are expected to remain set up until the end of the festival. Registering for tables for those who had a table at last year's Pride Fest began in January, and table registration for everyone else begins on March 1. The cost to participate is $15 per table and must be paid in full by Saturday, June 1.

Update on E3 Youth LGBTQIA Summit April 12-13
E3 Summit (Empowering LGBTQA youth through Education and Engagement) will be held on April 12-13, 2019 at Strong Vincent High School and is free to youth ages 12-21. Parents, teachers, and counselors are also welcome to attend for a small fee. We are excited to announce that Ryan Cassata will be performing a concert on Friday evening. Ryan Cassata is an award-winning singer-songwriter and LGBTQ activist. The Erie County Democratic Party's LGBTQIA+ Caucus meets the second Monday of the month at 7 PM at Erie County Dems Headquarters, 1305 State St, Erie PA. Allies welcome. GEAE Scholarships Deadline May 3
Greater Erie Alliance is once again offering scholarships to LGBTQ high school seniors continuing their education in the fall of 2019. Application materials and additional information are available here. All applications must be postmarked by May 3.
Regional GSA Meets March 7
The Regional GSA will have their monthly meeting on Thursday, March 7th from 6-8 pm at the Blasco Library teen center, 160 E Front St, Erie PA. We welcome all LGBTQA youth from 12-17 who wish to work with other teens on advocacy projects and educational programming. Local LGBT History Project in June
This June, in celebration of Pride month, 419 Artifacts will mount an exhibition of the history of the LGBTQ+ community in Erie and (possibly) northwest Pennsylvania. This project also includes the collection of oral histories to record the memories and experiences of our community. If you have information such as articles, photos, or mementos about the community's history and would like to bring them to the attention of the committee compiling the exhibit, or if you would like to record an oral history, please contact Dale Allgeier at daleallgeier@outlook.com.
Jamestown Transgender Support Group Now meeting
There is now a Transgender Support of Jamestown NY group on Facebook. Meetings are on the 4th Thursday of each month, 5:00-7:00 pm, at 511 N Main St, left side entrance, upstairs. The group also has a social meetup the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7. Check their Facebook or text/call Hayley for venue.
"Over 40? So What!" Group Potluck and Game Night on March 10
In March, the group "Over 40? So what?" will be hosting a potluck dinner followed by a game night. The group will meet March 10, 2019 and will be starting at 6:00pm for this event. Please bring a side dish to share and any games you might want to play. The group will meet at Lake Erie Counseling Inc., 301 West 10th Street, Erie. The Zone hosting weekly viewing parties for RuPaul's Drag Race, FACE Show time change
The Zone, 133 W 18th St, Erie PA will be holding RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 viewing parties every Thursday starting 2/28 hosted by Rebecca Mae. Doors open at 8 PM, and the show airs at 9 PM. Michelle Michaels FACE Drag Show will now start at 9 PM. The March show will be March 24, due to St. Patrick's Day, and April 28, due to Easter and then move back to the third Sunday of the month in May. Additionally, The Zone will be hosting NW PA Pride Alliance's Happy Hour on Wednesday, February 27 from 7 to 9 PM.

Come slay with Rebecca Mae and her monthly guests as they whirl and twirl for you! This month features some of our original favorites and our Special Guest all the way from Virginia, Katrina "The Hurricane" Colby! Live entertainment also includes performances by: Michelle Michaels (Erie’s OG Diva), Siren Kelly (from Maryland), Evon Michelle (from Maryland). This show will be hosted by yours truly, Rebecca Mae and other surprise MC's. Show includes adult content and comedy so please come with a sense of humor and open mindedness! The event happens on Sunday, March 31 from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Bourbon Barrel, 1213 State St, Erie PA. Tickets are available here.

M & J's Lounge New Schedule in April
Beginning in April, M & J's Lounge, 124 Mercer Street, Butler PA, will be open every Friday night. Their monthly Drag Shows will be moving to the last Friday of each month starting in April. On Saturday, March 30, they will be having a party celebrating their eighth anniversary with a drag show.

Patricia Nell Warren, Activist and Author of The Front Runner, First Gay Novel to Make New York Times Best Seller List, Dies at 82
LOS ANGELES - Patricia Nell Warren, age 82, died on Saturday February 9th at the UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California after a long battle with cancer. Warren is best known for her groundbreaking novel The Front Runner, a love story about an out gay runner and his closeted track coach. The Front Runner, considered a world classic in gay literature, has sold over 10 million copies in 11 languages, was published in 1974. Warren published two sequels to The Front Runner (Harlan's Race in 1994 and Billy's Boy in 1997). At the time of Warren's death, she was putting the finishing touches on the 4th book in The Front Runner Series. The book will be published by her estate.
