Adagio Health Mammogram Voucher Program to Continue Providing Early Detection Services to Patients in Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh, Pa. (October 26, 2020) -- In the wake of last week's announcement that Komen Greater Pennsylvania is closing, Adagio Health wants patients, providers and partners to know that patients who need a mammogram will still be able to get one, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.

"People are living with so much uncertainty around health care and health insurance right now," said Adagio Health president and CEO BJ Leber. "We hope to ease some of that uncertainty by letting patients in Pennsylvania know that Adagio Health will make sure they can get a mammogram when they need one, no matter what their current situation is."

Under the banner of what is now being called the Adagio Health Mammogram Voucher Program, Adagio Health will provide vouchers for screening mammograms and breast diagnostic services for uninsured and underinsured women and men in 56 counties of western, central, and northeast PA. Currently, the Adagio Health Mammogram Voucher Program has no income, gender, or age restrictions. Services include:

"With generous funding from Komen Greater Pennsylvania, we've managed a mammogram voucher program since 2008," said Ms. Leber. "So while the name of the program we're offering now is new, the mission is not. We are so proud to have partnered with an organization that has had such an enormous impact on patients' and families in Pennsylvania. It is our hope that the Adagio Health Mammogram Voucher Program will honor the legacy our partners at Komen Greater Pennsylvania created."
