Documentary looks at high school homophobia in Venango County
We Belong is the story of two Venango County gay teens who had the courage to stand up to bigotry and intolerance in their schools - and the determination to tell their stories to the world. The film was produced and directed by former Oil City resident Joe Wilson.
Forum on equal marriage rights
A forum on equal marriage will take place on November 29 at 6:30 PM in the Admiral Room of the Blasco Memorial Library. Panelists are Dave Martin (NWPA American Civil Liberties Union), Susan Woodland (NWPA National Organization for Women), Michael Mahler (Erie Gay News), and Dr. Caillean McMahon. Moderating will be Rev. Steve Aschmann of the Unitarian Universalist of Congregation of Erie. Discussion will focus on the efforts to legalize same-sex marriage, understanding the opposition to it, and finding ways to counter those objections.The event is jointly sponsored by NWPA NOW and the NWPA ACLU. Free and open to the public.

Thanks for Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus Concert
The Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus presented a wonderful concert "Standing on the Side of Love" on Sunday, Oct. 22, in tribute to Jeff Grego, and to benefit the local high school HIV/AIDS education program, and the Unitarian sanctuary renovation project.
