On Sunday, July 30, PFLAG Butler held their annual Rainbow Community Picnic at Alameda Park Pavilion #3, Butler PA, Friends enjoyed a delicious potluck buffe, great times, a pinata for the kids, and wonderful friends. The chapter meets the second Thursday of the month at Butler Area Public Library from 5 to 7 PM.

On Sunday, July 20, PFLAG Butler had their 5th Annual Rainbow Picnic at Alameda Park. Attendees enjoyed a delicious potluck, fun games, and great friends! Photos are by Michael Mahler, Erie Gay News co-editor.

On Sunday, July 15, 2012, PFLAG Butler and Persad Center held the 3rd Annual Rainbow Community Picnic in Alameda Park in Butler PA. Everyone had a wonderful time. Approximately 60 people attended. Photos are by Michael Mahler, co-editor and webmaster for Erie Gay News.

The Butler Rainbow Picnic, hosted by PFLAG Butler County and Persad Center's Community Safe Zone project, was held on July 24, 2011. The picnic lasted from 2pm to 6pm and hosted over 60 people.

On Sunday, July 18, 80 people gathered at Butler's Alameda Park to share in a picnic sponsored by Persad Center's "Community Safe Zone Project" (CSZP) and Butler County PFLAG. CSZP is a program of Persad Center which provides GLBTQI community building projects and events to non-urban areas outside of Pittsburgh. Directed by Ted Hoover of Persad, this new program and Butler County PFLAG sponsored a showing of "Out in the Silence" in May.

Members of the Butler GLBT community and their loved ones will meet on Thursday July 23rd 7:30 - 9:00 to talk about the need for a chapter of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) in Butler County. This is the first of three summer meetings to discuss the strengths of PFLAG for Butler.
