An autobiographical musical based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Alison Bechtel (best known for her comic strip "Dykes to Watch Out For"), follows the main character from childhood to college, as she charts her own course of self-discovery. At the same time, her father is coming to terms with who he is, too. Fun Home was the first Tony Award winner for Best Musical to have an all-female creative team, also won the Tony for Best Score by Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron, and was a Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Michael Weiss, founder of the former Directors Circle Theatre in Erie, brings back his cast in the hilarious spoof of the film "Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte' that was a 1964 psychological thriller that starred Bette Davis, Olivia de Havilland, Agnes Moorehead and Joseph Cotton."Hush Up, Sweet Charlotte" runs at Dramashop, 1001 State St, Erie PA March 1 through March 10.

Dramashop's 2018-2019 season will open with The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman and the members of the Techtonic Theatre Project.

On Tuesday, December 6, 2016, NW PA Pride Alliance and Dramashop held Painting With Pride 2, a joint fundraiser at Dramashop, 1001 State St, Erie PA. Thanks go out to Angela, our instructor, and Dickey's Barbecue Pit for the use of tables. The event was well attended and very enjoyable.

On Friday, April 12 and Saturday , April 13, there was a performance of '8', by Dustin Lance Black at PACA, 1505 State Street, Erie PA.The staged reading was put on by Dramashop as part of their Erie Reader Staged Reading Series. The performance was directed by Tony Gressley, and the cast included Ted Hallowell, Stephen Wells, Cristin Manion, Casey Conrad-Medvis, Jason Owen, Stephen Salchli, Jerry Brace, JJ Theisen, Matt Crays, Jenn Highfill, Kathleen Cahill, Sarah Sgro, Pat Washington, BJ Waide, Keefer Kopco, Jasse Camacho Vera, Brian Goldenn, Steve Sullivan and Morgan Gore.
