Erie Queer Community Food Drive Returns May 9

By Bobbie Fenno

The Erie Queer Community will come together once again to support local families through a community food drive on Saturday, May 9. Central Outreach Wellness Center, located at 3104 State St, Erie, PA, will host the event and invite community members to donate non-perishable food items to help those in need.

All donations will remain local and be distributed by the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania, ensuring that the support stays within our region.

This food drive is more than just a donation event; it reflects the community's ongoing commitment to mutual aid and compassion. Local LGBTQIA+ organizations, businesses, and allies are encouraged to take part and help collect donations for the drive.

Any LGBTQIA+ or ally groups interested in participating or helping with the food drive should contact Michael Mahler at info@eriegaynews.com for more information.
