Jamestown Pride 2025: A Celebration of Joy, Inclusion, and Community

By Bobbie Fenno

Jamestown, NY Pride 2025 was truly a day to remember! Several members of the Erie Gay News Board, Andrea, Bobbie, Kim, Michael, and Rex, had the pleasure of attending and were thrilled to be part of such a vibrant and welcoming event.

The celebration was filled with an impressive array of LGBTQ+ vendors and community resource booths, offering everything from handmade crafts to vital information and support. The addition of a local farmers market gave the event a special hometown feel, making it easy to spend the whole day soaking in the sights, sounds, and flavors.

Entertainment was a major highlight, with talented drag queen and king performers lighting up the stage. Hostess Exxxotica Splash joined Katrina Twerk Island, Shari Turner, Justin Tyme, and more. Their energy and creativity were incredible, but what truly stood out was the heartfelt inclusion of kids and young adults in the audience. The hosts went out of their way to invite the younger crowd to dance, share what Pride means to them, and even participate in a special Pride contest just for them. It was a refreshing and emotional moment to witness the joy and pride shining in their eyes.

Throughout the day, the sense of community was undeniable. People came together not just to celebrate, but to support, uplift, and connect with one another. It was a powerful reminder of what Pride is all about.

Erie Gay News is grateful to have experienced this beautiful event, and we look forward to many more celebrations with our friends in Jamestown.
