Upcoming PurpleOne Training on April 13 - Dynamics of Domestic Violence, the Impact on Victims and Bystander Intervention
From Safe Journey: This training is a great way to help victims of domestic violence throughout Erie County.Statistically, 1 in 4 women, 1 in 7 men and 1 in 4 children will be victims of domestic violence. In Erie County there are potentially 56,000 victims. Our next upcoming PurpleOne Training for Thursday, April 13th, 2023 from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. via Zoom. Participants must individually register and attend to receive a certificate. Register by going to https://purpleone.org/.
Participants will learn to: - Identify the major forms of domestic violence and the types of behavior abusers employ to control victims - Identify the effects of trauma due to exposure to domestic violence - Recognize, respond and refer clients/victims experiencing domestic violence

You can make a difference by learning how to recognize, respond to and refer victims of domestic violence.
For CE Credits, NASW-PA Members will pay $15.00, Non-Members pay $25.00. Make checks payable to NASW-PA with PurpleOne in the memo and send in with your evaluation form after the training. For ACT 48 Hours, go on to register at http://www.solutionwhere.com/iu5/cw/showcourse.asp?5726. Must register 2 weeks prior to the training to get your ACT 48 Hours. You must have a valid PPID number to register.
For PHYSICIAN (CME), the University of Pittsburgh designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. For NURSING (CNE), a maximum of 4.0 nursing contact hours will be awarded. Participants will be able to claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the program.
