"Ole' Say Can WE See?" Exhibition Extended to Saturday, February 25, 2023 with Artist Meet & Greet.

ERIE, Pa. - The Erie Art Museum has extended Dr. Garry Bibbs' exhibition "Ole' Say Can WE See?" until Saturday, February 25, 2023. Bibbs will also attend an artist meet & greet with coffee and doughnuts on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 11am - 1pm where the public will have a chance to meet him before the exhibition closes. "Ole' Say Can WE See?" is extended thanks to sponsorship by Erie's Black Wall Street.

Garry R. Bibbs is a professor of sculpture and printmaking at the University of Kentucky and has taught for the last 32 years. Bibbs has completed more than 38 public art commissions throughout the eastern United States and is the recipient of numerous art awards including the 2005 Al Smith award in Sculpture for Outstanding Kentucky Artist and the NEA Southern Arts Federation Award for Outstanding Printmaker.

"Ole' Say Can WE See?" creates a dialogue on humanity, culture, history, and racial understanding. His aim is to evoke deep social and spiritual thinking in the minds of those who observe his sculptures and monoprints.
