Design and Apply Temporary Tattoos at the Erie Art Museum!
November 3, 2016- The Erie Art Museum offers the educational program, Second Sundays every month. This free program features a new exhibit on display in the Museum, a tour in the gallery, and hands-on craft. The next program will take place on Sunday, November 13 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Check out the art of Dietrich Wegner in his solo exhibit " I Think I Found it Upside Down." Work with a tour guide to examine his large-scale sculptures, photographs, and paintings filled with playful, contradicting and thought-provoking images. Discuss the Cumulous Brand photographs featuring babies covered with multicolored logo tattoos and learn about the artist' s inspiration, selection and process for the artwork. Head to the Special Events Room to draw your own temporary tattoo design on carbon transfer paper and then use soap to painlessly apply it to your skin. Repeat the process to make tons of tattoos to share and apply to your friends and family!
Second Sundays provides FREE admission to the Erie Art Museum from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. with tours and exhibit-based art making from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. This program is supported by Erie Arts and Culture and PA Cyber School.
