Trance Casino Night is a Big Success

By Patrick

A little piece of Vegas was alive and well here in Erie on June 11.

SHOUT Outreach and Trance Dance Club sponsored a Casino Night Fundraiser to benefit Erie Pride Inc..

While Frank, Steve and Edie, Dean and Elvis played in the background, gamblers were betting on games like chuck-a-luck, craps, blackjack and the wheel of fortune.

For those not interested in non-stop gambling, Taylor Morgan, Miss Erie 2005 and Rhiannon Angelina, Miss Trance 2006 entertained the crowd with some old and new Vegas standards. Edgy comedienne Jo Hyatt also entertained the crowd with her stand up and a special song she wrote just for the occasion.

Once the gambling was over, the play money auction began. The items that sparked the most interest were a cologne collection, donated by Kaufmann's, and a date with Trance's own W. Mike. At the end of the evening, the event pulled in $805.

SHOUT Outreach, Trance Dance Club and Erie Gay Pride wishes to thank the following business and individuals for donating to the Casino Night auction: Total Tan, the Roadhouse Theatre, the Director's Circle Theatre, PFLAG Erie, Two Friends Italian Market, Papa Joe's Pepperoni Café, Chuck & Ginny's, Papermoon, Pizza Hut, TGI Fridays, Smokey Bones BBQ, Kaufmann's, Calamari's, Pie in the Sky Café, J & J Travel Inc., Dawn Ziegler, Erie Hospice, Douglas and James, Joel and W. Mike.

I would like to give a special thanks to all those people to donated their time and energy to make this event such a great event: Lee at Trance, Fran, Malcolm and Lauri from SHOUT Outreach, Dan, Mike Mahler, Jo Hyatt, Taylor Morgan, Rhiannon Angelina, Gary S., Rick B., Preston B., W. Mike, and from Mas Nova Joe and Chris.
