CHARLOTTE, N.C. - In advance of Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20, Campus Pride today published a new report titled "The Changing Nature of Gender in the 21st Century: How Trans and Nonbinary Students Applying to College Today Self-Identify," a research project analyzing the largest body of data on the gender identities of incoming college students that has ever been available. The report is produced by Campus Pride and written by Dr. Genny Beemyn (they/them), Coordinator of Campus Pride's Trans Policy Clearinghouse and Director of the Stonewall Center at UMass Amherst, who was given exclusive access by the Common App to analyze the data on gender identity and pronouns - and the intersections with racial identity and first-generation status - of more than a million students who filled out the application during the Fall 2022 college admissions cycle.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - October 25, 2021 -- Today, Campus Pride officially released its 2021 Worst List, naming 180 campuses across the country as "the absolute worst, most unsafe campuses for LGBTQ youth." The colleges and universities included in this year's list have either received or applied for a Title IX religious exemption to openly discriminate against LGBTQ youth, or they have a demonstrated history of anti-LGBTQ policies, programs, and practices.

Campus Pride Supports Bill SB-1146 in California
June 30, 2016 - Campus Pride applauds the California Assembly Judiciary Committee for voting to approve California Senate Bill 1146 on June 30, 2016, a bill protecting LGBTQ students at religious colleges and universities by requiring these institutions to post notices and inform incoming students of their discriminatory policies via a legal loophole that allows their being exempt from providing Title IX protections to all students. Despite misleading and dangerous attacks by Christian colleges related to the bill's passing, the Assembly Judiciary Committee has voted to protect the rights and safety all students at Christian colleges.
