The GLF Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the purpose of providing resources and educational materials on the cultural context, sociopolitical relevancy, and historic centrality of GLF and documenting the contributions and legacy of the organization to LGBTQIA+ history. To that end, the GLF Foundation will maintain a dedicated website to serve as a central resource for oral history, photographic and video documentation, as well as providing a speaker’s bureau. We will further document the historic contributions of the membership to the LGBTQIA+ community, with the site serving as a central respository of resources, from publications by the members as well as links to other sources that provide an accurate representation of our history.

LGBTQ+ PIONEERS Speak out: GLFF Statement

We, the undersigned, former members of New York's Gay Liberation Front and current members of the Gay Liberation Front Foundation, condemn the Trump administration and its supporters in state and local governments for their vicious attacks on our community and on other marginalized communities. The Gay Liberation Front was the first and most radical LGBTQ+ organization formed directly after the Stonewall Uprising in June, 1969. Our guiding message, equal inclusion of all people into society and the body politic, is even more urgent today.
