DEC. 10, 2020 - Today the U.S. Census Bureau released new 5-year statistics. For the first time, data from the 2015-2019 American Community Survey (ACS) will allow users to compare three nonoverlapping sets of 5-year data: 2005-2009, 2010-2014 and 2015-2019. The ability to analyze separate datasets is important for identifying trends for small communities and geographies which is critical for planning future investments and services.

Please respond! Every person that doesn't respond costs our community on average $2,100 per year for 10 years!

The 2020 US Census is seeking census workers! The work is tentatively scheduled to start in May 2020 and the pay ranges from $16hr to $24hr depending on the County you live in. In 2020 our community will have the unique opportunity to have our voice heard twice on the national level. Not only is 2020 a big election year but it is also a census year.  As mandated by the U.S. Constitution, the census is a once every-decade count of everyone living in the United States. This count is vital to Erie County as it ensures we get our fair share of funding for programs in our schools, healthcare, and housing. Additionally, the census count determines our representation in Congress.
