Chautauqua Institution Launches Transformational Capital Campaign to Coincide with 150th Anniversary
CHAUTAUQUA, NY (Monday, January 8, 2024) - Chautauqua Institution today announces the public launch of Boundless, A Campaign for Chautauqua to coincide with the Institution's 150th anniversary this year. The $150 million campaign is composed of capital projects and initiatives that elevate the Institution's traditional Summer Assembly, expand its role as a year-round convener of world leaders and artists, promote science-based conservation of Chautauqua Lake and bolster its endowment. The campaign commenced January 1, 2021 and is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2026. More than $105 million has been raised to date.

Chautauqua Institution's Vice President of Religion and Senior Pastor Gene Robinson Is Retiring
Chautauqua Institution has announced the retirement of the Rt. Rev. V. Gene Robinson as Vice President of Religion and Senior Pastor, effective Dec. 31. Robinson joined the Institution staff in 2017, following a career in Episcopal Church leadership that culminated with service as bishop of the Diocese of New Hampshire. Robinson is an outspoken advocate for the rights of marginalized populations, recognized for his groundbreaking work with the LGBTQ community, youth communities and those suffering from abuse and addiction.
