Erie Pride 365 to Host Block Party Celebrating Community, Culture on Saturday, August 8

By Julia Carden

Erie Pride 365 is hosting a new Pride celebration in downtown Erie this summer, bringing together community organizations, advocates and residents for a celebration of culture, connection and community.

The Erie Pride Block Party is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, in Perry Square. Organizers say the event will celebrate the diversity, resilience and contributions of Erie's LGBTQIA+ community while creating opportunities for education, advocacy and community engagement.

Erie Pride 365 is an organization committed to championing the rights and well-being of Black, Brown, & LGBTQIA+ individuals, 365 days a year.

This year's celebration will place special emphasis on the intersections of Black excellence, queer liberation and community wellness. The event is presented in partnership with Erie's BLACK WALLSTREET, Compton's Table, and Central Outreach Wellness Center, organizations that have played key roles in supporting marginalized communities throughout the region.
