Meadville Pride 2025: A Community Coming Together

By Bobbie Fenno

On Saturday, July 26th, Diamond Park in Meadville came alive with music, laughter, and a whole lot of pride as the community gathered for Meadville Pride on the Diamond. From 1pm to 5pm, the park became a vibrant hub of celebration, connection, and unapologetic joy.

This year's event was hosted by none other than National Miss Comedy Queen 2025, Debbie Does Drag, whose quick wit, glittering presence, and boundless energy kept the crowd engaged and smiling all afternoon. The stage saw a dazzling lineup of drag talent, including Debbie Does Drag, Veronica Ville, Cherry Falwell, Hydroxyzine Falwell, Tiny Richard, Shea D'Heaux, Snarebear, and more. Each performance brought its own flair, once again expressing that drag is equal parts art, activism, and heart.

Beyond the stage, attendees explored a variety of vendor booths, offering everything from LGBTQ+ resources to handmade crafts. As the afternoon went on, the party pulsed through the park, pulling people of all ages onto their feet and turning Diamond Park into one big open-air dance floor.

But Meadville Pride was more than just entertainment. It was a heartfelt statement of community values. Organizers highlighted that Pride here is about loving our neighbors, friends, and family members exactly as they are, every day. Jaime Kinder, Mayor of the City of Meadville, delivered a moving speech emphasizing we are "creating a community that works for everybody." It's about building a place where everyone belongs and every voice matters.

With its mix of fierce performances, heartfelt connection, and good old-fashioned fun, Meadville Pride 2025 was a celebration that reminded everyone just how bright our community can shine when we come together.
