LGBT Fund Announces Annual Grant Opportunity
By Bobbie Fenno
The LGBT Fund of the Erie Community Foundation will be opening applications for its annual grant program on September 8, 2025, providing critical support for organizations serving the LGBTQ+ community. Since its inception, the Fund has awarded nearly $35,000 to initiatives that address urgent needs such as safe schools, housing security for homeless youth, mental health support, suicide prevention, housing equality, and family services.
This year, applicants can request up to $10,000 in funding to launch or expand projects that create meaningful impact for LGBTQ+ individuals in the Erie region and beyond.
The mission of the LGBT Fund is to address the unique needs of the LGBTQ+ community and strengthen the programs that offer safety, stability, and support. By investing in these efforts, the organizers are investing in a stronger, more inclusive community for everyone.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) is now available online with full details on eligibility and guidelines. Applications will open in September and will be submitted through the Erie Community Foundation's GOapply platform.
