Trans Social Hour events in Meadville
By Frank Garrity
On June 2nd, Trans Social Hour held a full-day gathering at Woodcock Overlook-a peaceful spot with a pavilion, grills, restrooms, and a scenic swing overlooking the water. Members and allies of the local trans community came together to relax, connect, and share stories in a safe, supportive space.
With over 500 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills introduced in 2024 alone-many targeting trans rights-spaces like this are more than just meetups. They're lifelines. Trans Social Hour was created to offer TRANSFAMILY members an extra layer of support, friendship, and community in an environment that 's affirming, private, and free of judgment.
Privacy is a top priority-no names or photos are ever shared without permission, and anything discussed stays within the group. It's all about trust, love, and having a good time together.
In the face of growing challenges, gatherings like these remind us that joy, community, and showing up for each other matter now more than ever.
