PINN Kicks Off Community Surveys to Build a More Inclusive and Connected Neighborhood at Foot of Presque Isle
ERIE, PA (July 8, 2025) - The Presque Isle Neighborhood Network (PINN), a newly formed community development nonprofit, is inviting residents and business owners within its footprint to help shape the future of the neighborhoods surrounding Presque Isle State Park through two public surveys open now through July 31, 2025.
The PINN footprint map is included below to help residents and businesses identify whether their home or workplace is within the area served by this initiative.

PINN's work focuses on strengthening the neighborhoods that serve as the entry point to Presque Isle, supporting community-led projects that enhance public spaces, increase safety and walkability, and build stronger social connections. The organization's first initiative-these resident and business surveys-aims to gather feedback on what neighbors want to see prioritized, from green space improvements to public amenities and placemaking.
"At its core, PINN is about building a neighborhood where everyone feels like they belong," said PINN's President Seth Trott. "We know that strong, vibrant communities depend on inclusion and collaboration, and we're committed to making sure every voice is heard-especially voices that have historically been left out of neighborhood planning efforts."
PINN encourages participation from all members of the community, including LGBTQ+ residents, people of color, young people, seniors, renters, and anyone who calls the area home or operates a business here. By centering diverse perspectives, PINN hopes to foster a more welcoming, connected, and resilient community for all.
Survey responses will guide a series of community workshops and long-term improvement projects set to begin later this year. PINN has partnered with Parker Strategy Group, a research and community impact firm with an office in Erie, to help administer the surveys and analyze the results.
The surveys can be completed online at ourpinn.org or on paper at partner locations. The deadline for responses is July 31, 2025.
