A joyful crowd filled Walnut Beach on Saturday, June 21, as the Ashtabula Pride Festival returned in full celebration for 2025. The lakefront park was alive with color, music, and community spirit as locals and visitors gathered to honor love, identity, and inclusion.

Opening ceremonies set the tone for the day, featuring energetic performances and heartfelt speeches. Entertainment included vibrant drag queen and king performances, live music, and the cast of Rent from the Ashtabula Arts Center.

A highlight of the day was the presentation of the Bill Daywalt Memorial Scholarships, honoring the late advocate's dedication to youth and LGBTQ+ visibility. Eight Ashtabula County students were each awarded $1,000 toward their educational pursuits.

Families enjoyed free children's activities, and vendors lined the park offering food, art, and resources.

In a milestone moment, Ashtabula Pride was also officially welcomed into the Ohio Festivals Commission, marking a new chapter of recognition and growth for the local celebration.
