Rainbow Fest: A Celebration of Pride and Community
From OddCity Entertainment
Rainbow Fest was more than just an event - it became a vibrant celebration of love, equality, and individuality. Held on April 5, 2025 in the heart of downtown Erie at Basement Transmissions, this year's OddCity Entertainment Pride festival brought people together for a day filled with connection, creativity, and unforgettable moments. Attendees came to embrace the spirit of the LGBTQ+ community, support local artists and performers, and enjoy the lively atmosphere that Rainbow Fest had to offer.
Rainbow Fest featured an exciting lineup of activities. From live performances by incredible underground bands and charismatic drag queens, kings and creatures, to interactive elements like the unique "Spin Swap" flow-toy exchange, a Micro Silent Disco hosted by Stim City Collective, and an elementary style parachute for the crowd. The event highlighted innovation and inclusivity at its core, and featured a wide variety of genres utilizing both stages at BT for non-stop entertainment. Guests also engaged with photo and video booths, found inspiration from community leaders like Angelica Spraggins and Tyler Titus, and connected with inspiring non-profits and charities that aligned with the event's values like Compton's Table and Central Outreach.
Rainbow Fest wasn't just about celebration - it fostered change and community. The festival's DIY punk ethos reflected a commitment to authenticity and grassroots engagement, creating a space where everyone was welcomed and valued. Together, we made Rainbow Fest a memorable and meaningful experience for all, and helped gather financial support for Erie's Compton's Table.
