Aggregate Housing Survey Results 2023 - 2024

On March 21, the Pennsylvania Equality Project released the results of year two of a five-year study on Housing Affordability and Sustainability for the LGBTQ+ community in Pennsylvania. Among the findings for both years combined is that the 341 respondents represent a total of 845 people from 42 counties across Pennsylvania. Of the 341 respondents, 186 are renting their current home. Almost 70% of LGBTQ+ rental households can barely afford or not afford their current residence. The average monthly income for LGBTQ+ households across Pennsylvania was just over $3,700. The survey has a margin of error of +/- 5.306%.
