Pride Flag Vandalized at Moxi Salon
On June 27, as Pride month was about to end, a petty vandalization of a pride flag occurred at Moxi Salon on W 8th Street. Owner Sarah McMillan was informed that the pride flag adorning the front of her salon had been ripped down.
McMillan prides her salon to be an all-inclusive establishment that has not lost focus following the petty vandalization. To help combat the passive-aggressive response that motivated the nameless individual(s), McMillan went as far as to donate to the Northwest Pennsylvania Pride Alliance. One senseless action replaced one with respect and dignity. It is a testament to the resilience of our allies who help carry our message of inclusivity throughout the community.
