LBT Women Trip to Hurry Hill Maple Farm
On March 16th, the Beans took a trip to the Hurry Hill Maple Farm to attend the annual Maple Festival. The six of us were excited to learn how maple syrup is made and taste some delectable maple products.
We began our visit with a horse-drawn wagon ride into the woods. The Beans enjoyed the scenic ride through the maple tree to the boiling house. The owner, Jan, educated us on the history of Hurry Hill and all the particulars of what it takes from start to finish to make maple syrup.
Following the wagon ride, we toured the museum, which showcased different artifacts related to maple syrup production.
However, the highlight of the visit was the tasting room, where we got to sample an array of maple products, including maple cotton candy, maple cream, maple mustard, and maple syrup. After tasting the delicious products, most of us bought a few jars of syrup and other treats to take home.
If you haven't been to Hurry Hill yet, we highly recommend planning a trip there soon!
