Gov. Wolf Celebrates Pride Month

Harrisburg, PA - June 22, 2022 - Governor Tom Wolf celebrated LGBTQ Pride Month and the importance of Pennsylvania's diverse, vibrant LGBTQ community. Gov. Wolf shared his support for Pride in a video message to Pennsylvanians. The Pennsylvania Capitol Complex is also lit up with rainbow lights for Pride Month through June 30, 2022.

"I'm proud to join Pennsylvania's LGBTQ community to celebrate Pride Month this year and every year," said Gov. Wolf. "I created the Pennsylvania LGBTQ Affairs Commission in 2018 to advocate for LGBTQ communities in Pennsylvania and ensure that our commonwealth's government is accessible and accountable to LGBTQ Pennsylvanians. Unfortunately, Pennsylvanians are still not protected from discrimination based on their gender identity or sexual orientation. Throughout Pride Month and beyond, my administration and I remain committed to the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and protections."
