Youth Support Groups

Journey to a Trauma Informed Life, 2230 W 8th St #2, Erie PA, hosts an Art Wellness space the second Thursday of every month from 6 to 7:30 PM. This is a hybrid meeting, and youth can attend either virtually or in person, following CDC guidelines for masking, social distancing, and other measures.

On the fourth Wednesday of every month, Compton’s Table, Greater Erie Alliance for Equality (GEAE) and Journey to a Trauma-Informed Life co-host a chat and chill virtual support group from 6 to 7:30 PM. This virtual event is a night of community, laughter, and chill. There is no real agenda, just a safe, virtual space.

For more about either of the above events, contact Journey to A Trauma Informed Life at their website at https://atraumainformedlife.com/ or (833) 487-5769.

Additionally, Compton’s Table offers AFFIRM, a safe, supportive social eight-week group that builds connection and support.

This group is free for Pennsylvania-cased queer young people between 12 and 21 years of age.

Growing up is hard and feeling like you don’t belong can make it even harder.

AFFIRM is a place where we talk about our experiences, learn ways to handle life, and unpack the untruths we are told about being queer so we make room for a whole lotta self-love.

AFFIRM is led by trained adults so we keep the space safe.
