Jack Tracy Dreams Of Post-COVID Ki-Ki in New Video, "Love Yah"

Title Track from Upcoming EP

Proceeds to Help Fund Season 4 of the popular LGBTQ web series, History

Jack Tracy paints a fantasy of post-pandemic nightlife with the help of New York drag icon Sherry Vine in his video for "Love Yah," the title track of his soon-to-be released EP. Drawing inspiration from early 2000's Justin Timberlake, the R&B-tinged dance track with its funk vibe was penned by Tracy while he was feeling isolated and alone from months spent in quarantine. "Even introverts get cabin fever," he explains. "I imagined myself finally going out, letting loose and blowing some steam. I'm currently single but for the song, I gave myself a number one who worries I'd get caught up in the nightlife and not come back home. He needn't be concerned. I'm very considerate to my fictional boyfriends." Jack's Tracy's "Love Yah" is being distributed independently and is available on Apple Music, Spotify and all digital platforms. Its video will be available on Vimeo and YouTube on February 12.

"I have recorded nearly thirty new songs during quarantine," Jack Tracy continues from his NYC apartment. "I hope Love Yah serves as a reminder that there is light at the end of this tunnel and that if we all do our part, the end will come much, much sooner."

In the intro scene of the song's music video, Jack Tracy squeezes in messaging about the need for everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible. The scene stars New York drag queen Sherry Vine, playing the host of "Drag News", announcing the exciting news that 80% of the US has been vaccinated and nightlife has reopened!

"Sherry and I met when we were paired as partners in a cardio-boxing class a few years ago," says Jack Tracy. "She has been a sounding board and mentor to me and we've been looking for a way to work together. This video presented the perfect opportunity!"

New York photographer Sehee Kim directs; Joseph Patrick Conroy serves as the director of photography. It was filmed in three locations in New York City: Jack's apartment, Starr Bar in Brooklyn and a studio space. The shoot was supervised by a COVID Compliance officer and all participants were COVID screened, masked and socially distanced when not on camera.

Merchandise from several of the podcasts Jack Tracy has enjoyed during the quarantine are sprinkled throughout the video. Astute viewers will catch items from Trixie & Katya's "Bald and the Beautiful", Alaska and Willam's "RaceChaser", "Best Friends" with Nicole Byer and Sasheer Zamata and "How Did This Get Made?" As always, Jack Tracy's icon Janet Jackson is referenced throughout.

Jack Tracy is the founder and owner of Necessary Outlet, a production company that has produced several LGBTQ film works including the feature film, "Snowflake," audio drama podcast, "Community," three critically acclaimed seasons of the web series "History," and comedies "Big Law" and "Millennial Memoir". Snowflake and all three seasons of History are now streaming on Dekkoo.

Love Yah is Jack Tracy's third studio album. It follows Older and For You.

The title track is one of two dance singles on the Love Yah EP. The album also contains an anthemic mid-tempo addressing toxic masculinity in gay culture--"Prince"--and some moody songs like "The Feels" and "Mysterious." It concludes with "Hold Me," a 90s-style pop ballad.

All proceeds from purchases and streams of the "Love Yah" single and its music video, as well as all recently released Love Yah and History merchandise (https://www.redbubble.com/people/necessaryoutlet/), will go to the funding of Season 4 of Jack Tracy's popular History web series. He also plans to launch a broader Seed & Spark crowdfunding campaign later this spring.

"Love Yah" is being distributed independently and is available on Apple Music, Spotify and all digital platforms. Its video launches on Vimeo and YouTube on February 12th.
