- 4 days on, 2 days off
- Rotating monthly patrol schedule

Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 and not more than 65.
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Must pass background check.
- Must live within 15-mile radius of City Hall at the time of hire.
- Must meet all qualifications set by the City of Erie Civil Service Board.

- Applications are handled by the Northwest PA Regional Police Testing Consortium.
- Applications will be accepted from April 13, 2020 to June 30, 2020.
- There is a $75 application fee which is payable online or by signed money order.

- Must pass written AND physical agility tests administered by the Northwest PA Regional Police Testing Consortium.
- Military service time is the only qualifier for additional points to the written test.
- Must be Act 120 certified at date of hire.
