The Dancing On the People EP is the follow up to SOFI TUKKER's GRAMMY nominated debut album Treehouse.

The anthemic "Fantasy" has been an audience favorite at those rapturous live shows. The lyrics and vocal delivery are intimate and introspective revealing a defiant vulnerability that speaks to how SOFI TUKKER have evolved as people and artists since their debut. Sonically, their egalitarian and global view of music has transcended borders and on "Fantasy" they have achieved an atemporal quality by collaging elements of the 90s Euro-pop classics that captivated them with their decidedly modern view of dance music.

"Playa Grande" is sung in three different languages - English, Spanish, and Portuguese, as well as a little Spanglish and Portuñol. Sophie and Li from Bomba Estéreo dance across the verses and make the chorus a mission statement, "Vamos a Bailar! Bailar! Bailar!". The music video sees SOFI TUKKER teaming up once more with Mac Boucher, the creative mind behind the "Best Friend," "Batshit," and "Fuck They" music videos. For the clip, SOFI TUKKER traveled to Costeño Beach in Santa Marta, located next to the Tayrona Park, a Natural Reserve Park in Colombia where the Andes end at the sea. It is the highest mountain in the world next to the ocean. The Tayronas (indigenous population) call the park, 'The World's Lung'. The video is an ode to the earth, specifically to the sacred land that Li from Bomba Estéreo lives on.

A dramatic widescreen string arrangement befitting of Wagner starts off "Swing" and gives way to a relentless rhythm that is almost martial at times as the duo trades verses in Brazilian Portuguese adapted from a poem by their longtime collaborator Chacal. The group worked with director Charles Todd of Scheme Engine, who previously directed "Fantasy" and has collaborated with Jay-Z, Troye Sivan and Harry Styles, for the epic "Swing" video. The group invites you deeper into their fantastical world as they embody warriors battling each other in a mountaintop arena, sharpening their super-natural powers with an incantation from a mystical book. "Swing" was shot on location at Centro Ceremonial Otomí in Temoaya. Nestled in the picturesque mountains of Toluca, Mexico, the ceremonial square was erected in 1980 as a tribute to the Otomi people and culture by then governor of Mexico, Jorge Jiménez Cantú.

Their new single "Purple Hat" is exemplary of what made the world fall in love with the group, a joyous paean to communal dancing and letting your freak flag fly with a monster riff and playfully adventurous production.

The R.I.P. Shame World Tour will bring the duo across North America and Europe following the EP release.
