2nd Annual TransFamily of NWPA Picnic on July 21 at Glenwood Park /Erie Zoo Picnic Area
Can't wait until August to get your picnic fix?! Come to the 2nd Annual TransFamily of NWPA picnic on Saturday, July 21, starting at 1 Pm at the Glenwood Park Picnic Pavilions by the Erie Zoo, because our first picnic last year was so much fun, we decided to have one every year! This event is open to EVERYONE!
Once again, the picnic will be at Glenwood Park (Erie Zoo Picnic Pavilions) off Glenwood Park Avenue just south of the Erie Zoo.
In addition to being outside of the Zoo's back door, the picnic grounds provide a playground for the kids, restrooms, and professional horseshoe pits. You must supply your own horseshoes, so bring them if you've got them! Feel free to bring any other outdoor games/activities you might have, too (Cornhole, Ladder Ball, etc).
This year, we will also feature a basket raffle to help raise funds for TransFamily, as well as other goodies, so bring your dollar bills and help us continue the work we do!
This is a pot luck/BYOB event, so please bring a dish to share, as well as your beverages of choice. Alcohol is permitted, but please be responsible. TransFamily will supply the burgers, hot dogs (Smith's, of course), rolls, and water. We will also have some veggie or black bean burgers for those who prefer not to eat meat.
As always, we hope you will consider visiting the zoo and supporting the great work they do in our community, as well!
Please message us with any questions and be sure to RSVP to the event so we have an idea how much food to buy!
