Butler LGBTQ Interfaith Network 5th Anniversary Worship Service
Butler, PA, October 24, 2016: The Butler LGBTQ Interfaith Network is a collaboration of area religious leaders, lay leaders, and community organizers working to affirm the spirituality of all persons of faith. We provide peer pastoral support, community support, and programs that promote inclusion. To celebrate our 5th anniversary we will be offering the following events on Sunday November 20th at Covenant Presbyterian Church 230 E. Jefferson St. Butler, PA 16001:
Social Justice Open House November 20 4:30 – 6:30 pm Covenant Presbyterian " Shower of the Stoles" Exhibit 100 will be on display. A collection of over 1,000 liturgical stoles representing the lives of LGBT people of faith. The display encompasses over 20 faith traditions, 6 countries, & 3 continents. Celebrate LGBT persons who serve God and lift up those who excluded from service because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Highlights 3rd world hand-made crafters & the fair trade initiative of 85 producing groups in 40 countries. Consignment Items for sale.
*Underground Railroad tour (weather permitting)
Explore Covenant Presbyterian' s stop on the national underground railroad of the 1800' s. The congregation has been involved in social justice for over 200 years!
Worship Service November 20 7:00 pm Covenant Presbyterian Food fellowship to follow
A special service for LGBTQ persons, their families & friends, and straight allies. Join us for meaningful readings, glorious music, and messages of hope, inclusion, & affirmation presented by our pastoral members. We are all God' s children and are all a vital part of his Kingdom. Our collected offering will benefit the Shower of the Stoles Project. Please stay after for a time of food & fellowship.
