Deadline for September 2016 print edition (issue # 250) of Erie Gay News is Monday, August 15

For the next print edition of Erie Gay News (issue # 250, cover dated for September, 2016), please send in calendar events, news items, and other info for late August 2016 and beyond by Monday, August 15. We expect that the next print edition will come out on Tuesday, August 23.

PLEASE NOTE! In addition to being our 250th issue, this issue will also be on display at the Pridefest on Saturday, August 27, which is being organized by NW PA Pride Alliance. The day begins with the March to Pridefest (assemble at the Zone Dance Club, 133 W 18th St, Erie PA beginning around noon, step off is at 1 PM) and march down to Griswold Park at 14th and Peach, where there will be a festival beginning at 2 PM, which includes entertainers, info tables and vendors. Pride Weekend will also include a Pride Kickoff Show at the Zone on Friday, August 26, a post Pride Party at Bourbon Barrel, 1213 State St from on Saturday after the Pride Festival from4 to 7 PM organized by Greater Erie Alliance for Equality, an Island Heat Tropical Glow Party at the Zone Dance Club Saturday night, and then a Pride Day at Waldameer on Sunday, August 28.

If you are writing an article for Erie Gay News, please try to keep it to 500 words or less; we generally try to have most articles be a page or less. (250 words is a half-page, which is also a good length.) We can post longer articles to our web site.

If you have anything happening in late August 2016 (or even later-we can always add items to the internal calendar for later listing), please get it to us by Monday, August 15. Please always bear in mind the "6 week" rule; if you are having a special event that you want to let folks know about, you need to get us the details even preliminary/tentative is okay) 6 weeks before the event takes place.
