Donations at Erie Pride Fest for Erie Food Bank

Second Harvest Food Bank of NW PA

As we gather to celebrate Pride this Saturday, August 29, we ask attendees to bring non-perishable donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank of NW PA At all major Pride events, NW PA Pride Alliance has collected items to help those less fortunate, and we ask your help to keep this tradition going. You may bring your donations to the Zone Dance Club, 133 W 18th St, between noon and 1 PM, before the Parade steps off at 1 PM. You may also bring your donation to Griswold Park, 150 W 14th St, where Pride Fest will be held from 2 to 4 PM.

(non-refrigerated) Please, no home-canned foods, glass containers, unsealed or opened packages, outdated baby food or formula, or bulging or severely dented cans.

Michael Kenton Mahler (He/Him) has been the editor of Erie Gay News since it was founded in December 1992. He is also a founding member of NWPA Pride Alliance. He serves on the Governor's Commission for LGBTQ Affairs and is active with Aging with Pride and the Erie County HIV Task Force. He became the first LGBTQ person to be fully out in May 1992 when appearing on local TV coverage. Michael currently works as a software developer for Erie Custom Computer Applications.
