North by Northwest Progressive Summit on August 30

I am thrilled to announce that Keystone Progress will host the North by Northwest Progressive Summit in Erie on Sunday, August 30th, at the Avalon Hotel, 16 W 10th St, Erie PA. This event will be an opportunity for leaders, activists and community members to learn, speak and share ways to make real improvements in our community.

There will be a vast array of issues presented, from the struggle to bring LGBT non-discrimination statewide, to economic inequality, to the importance of judicial elections, and the ways we can combat racism in our community. In addition to these examinations of the issues we face, there will be workshops on skills we need to tackle these problems, from contacting your legislator to the best ways to ask friends and neighbors to act.

This will be a spectacular event for anybody who wants to make a difference, whether you're a student, an elected official, or a concerned member of the community. We will bring people together and build a culture of activism, where every person is empowered to make the positive changes they seek for their families and their communities.

Join me at the NxNW Progressive Summit. Together, I believe we can make the world we live in a little more like the world that it ought to be.
