Drenched Fur's 11th Year Approaches

Drenched Fur is celebrating its 11th year with a fun filled 'Pop Goes the 80s' theme weekend for the broader bear community from Erie, PA and beyond. Over 200 bears, cubs, and admirers will be attending Drenched Fur 11 the weekend of April 9th-12th. We invite you to join us for some rad times! 

On Friday night, April 10th, join us at The Zone Dance Club, 133 W 18th St, for a TRON: GLOW party. as part of the 80s themed weekend, come show off your favorite glow items and apparel for hours of fun dancing to the retro music starting at 11 PM with cover charge at the door. Guests are welcome to support this year's charity, Erie's own Community Health Net by making a $1 donation and putting their name on display around the bar.

And of course, the reason for the weekend is the exclusive "after hours" event at the Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park Resort on Saturday April 11th. The private event is from 10 PM until 2 AM, and the admission is just $40 per person. If local guys wish to participate in the Splash Lagoon private event, simply come to the lobby of the water park between 10pm and 11:30pm. Payment for admission can be cash or Mastercard/Visa credit/debit cards. The Splash Lagoon event is sponsored by Drenched Fur 11 and is part of Erie's Bear Run Weekend.

Visitors from across the nation will be enjoying the weekend's activities listed at the Drenched Fur website, including various daytime tours, a charity auction, vendor market, and more! Commemorative DF11 embroidered beach towels are also available to order in advance for $25. There is a 21 and over age limit because of the presence of alcohol for events at the Clarion Hotel and Bel-Aire Conference Center.

Gary Snyder (He/Him), has been involved with Erie Gay News submitting articles since 2005 and coordinating the Annual Pride Picnic kitchen in 2008. He currently serves as an Advisory Board member of the NWPA Pride Alliance [since 2012]. Gary is a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in HRIM. Along with advising the NWPAPA Board, he chairs the Erie County HIV Task Force, serves on the Erie Gay News Editorial Board, and is the President of the AFSCME Union Local 2666.
