Papermoon closes

Papermoon Restaurant at 1325 State Street has closed its doors.

Co-owner Don McCain told the Erie Times-News that he needed to take a break from all the time and energy required to keep the restaurant going. “It is overwhelming,” McCain said. “We did that for seven years, and we’re tired.”

McCain owns the restaurant with Edward Lee, who was the restaurant’s head chef.

The owners of Papermoon were very supportive of various community causes—including GLBT efforts—frequently holding charity benefits at the restaurant and making generous contributions.
