ACLU of Pennsylvania Hosts Leadership Academy for Transgender and Gender Diverse Residents
ERIE, Pa. - On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the ACLU of Pennsylvania will host a leadership academy for transgender and gender-diverse Erie residents and neighboring communities. As attacks on transgender communities intensify, reinforcing the dignity, power, and right of gender-diverse Pennsylvanians to exist freely and safely is more imperative than ever. The academy will offer a vital space for learning, community-building, and strategizing collective action.
Participants will take part in interactive workshops focused on leadership development, civic engagement, advocacy skills, and community organizing. They will also build lasting relationships with peers committed to advancing equality across Pennsylvania.
