Aging With Pride Members Speak at PA Statewide Webinar

Aging With Pride members Dale Allgeier and Kemlyn Brazda spoke at the PA Link to Aging and Disability Resources Monthly Webinar for December 2025. Their presentation covered unique and not-so-unique aspects of aging as experienced by members of the LGBTQ+ community. They discussed what groups like Aging With Pride are doing to improve aging within the community, as well as remaining challenges.

Approximately 90 individuals from across Pennsylvania viewed the webinar. Participants asked several questions, ranging from Aging With Pride's geographic reach to support for nursing home residents who are coming out to their roommates.

Kemlyn Brazda Kemlyn Brazda (she/her) writes for The Erie Gay News to ensure that work done by Aging With Pride (AWP) is shared with the wider LGBTQ+ community. As a volunteer with AWP, she is currently spearheading the group's education initiative. This initiative brings in speakers on a wide range of topics, including transgender issues, art, gardening, and grief counseling. Along with volunteering, she is an artist painting in acrylic, watercolor, and pastel. She enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her dogs and cat.
