GEAE Afternoon for Equality
On Sunday, October 12, Greater Erie Alliance for Equality (GEAE) hosted its signature annual event, Afternoon for Equality, at the Watson-Curtze Mansion at the Hagen History Center. GEAE hosts this event as a significant fundraiser that helps empower GEAE to support the region's LGBTQ+ community and its allies through educational programs, social events, and service opportunities. These programs and events strengthen our voice, improve the quality of life in northwestern Pennsylvania, and propel us toward our mission to create a safe and welcoming community for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. This annual event was moved to October to help celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month and National Coming Out Day! Guests and sponsors of GEAE gathered for friendship and equality amongst autumnal flowers generously provided by Potratz Floral Shop & Greenhouses, while being treated to heavy Italian/Mediterranean hors d'oeuvres by Make It Fabulous Catering and music by the Stephen Trohoske Trio.
