Eerie Horror Fest Announces 2025 Venue Adjustment, Calls on Community Support
ERIE, PA - The Eerie Horror Fest has long celebrated not only the best in genre film and filmmaking, but also the local community that sustains it. For years, the Fest has showcased international submissions, cult classics, industry guests, educational workshops, and more, bringing the world of horror cinema to Erie. This year, however, the Festival faces new challenges. Rising operating costs, compounded by recent cuts to arts funding and the loss of over $10,000 in grant support, have necessitated a difficult decision to ensure the event's success.
Commitment to the Warner Theatre
First and foremost, the Eerie Horror Fest will proudly remain at the historic Warner Theatre. In partnership with Warner management, a cost-saving solution has been identified: film screenings will move from the main auditorium to the Warner Theatre Rehearsal Hall, a stunning addition completed in 2022. While this change will limit screening seating to 300, it will also allow the Festival to continue offering the same high-quality programming and experiences guests have come to expect.

Respect for Our Attendees
Earlier this year, the Fest alerted followers to newly imposed ticketing fees both online and over the phone, encouraging in-person box office purchases at the Erie Insurance Arena and the Warner Theatre to minimize unnecessary costs. This decision reflected the Festival's respect for its audience and commitment to transparency. Similarly, the shift to the Rehearsal Hall is being made with the same care: to ensure the Fest remains sustainable while preserving its signature atmosphere.
How You Can Help
Our team is determined to ensure that these adjustments will not dampen the spirit of the Fest. Still, community support is now more important than ever.
"If the Eerie Horror Fest has ever entertained you, inspired you, or felt like 'home' for a weekend, we're asking for your support now. Every ticket purchased, every donation (no matter the size), and every scream matters."
Patrons' contributions directly support the essential costs of operating the Fest, including venue rental, film licensing, guest accommodations, and equipment. Donations can be made at our Zeffy page.
