Aging With Pride at LGBTQ+ History Month Panel at Slippery Rock University

As part of LGBTQ+ History Month, members of Aging With Pride (AWP) participated in a panel discussion with Slippery Rock University students and faculty. Lauren Shoemaker, PhD, Co-Director of the Gender Studies Program at SRU, organized the October 16th event.

Discussion covered topics including motivations for activism, building community, and joyous aspects of being in the LGBTQ+ community. AWP participants were impressed with the level of engagement and insightful questions on the part of SRU students.
