Cinephobia Releasing is proud to announce the North American release of writer-director Lucas Santa Ana's (Memories of a Teenager) latest, feature, the anti-rom com LGBTQ+ festival darling 300 LETTERS. Cinephobia Releasing acquired rights to the film in a deal negotiated between Cinephobia President Raymond Murray, and Murray Dibbs, President of Wildstar Sales. 300 Letters is set to release on DVD and VOD, digital platforms on November 11.

"Let's face it, gay cinema has gotten a bit lazy", said Ray Murray. "Start with a few shirtless hunks or twinks, spice it with some sex, add a familiar storyline and call it a day. But 300 Letters boldly breaks the mold with its intriguing story - a funny, at times painful but expertly-crafted autopsy of a relationship. Refreshing and smart, director Lucas Santa Ana breathes fresh life into the genre."

300 Letters stars Cristian Mariani and Gastón Frías as Jero and Tom, a young gay couple that everyone wants to be. On the day of the first anniversary of their meeting, Jero returns home to find that Tom has abandoned him, leaving him a box of 300 letters as his only explanation. Alongside Mariani and Frías, the film co-stars Bruno Giganti (Horseplay), Jorje Thefs, Franco Mosqueiras, and Jordan Romero. The film is produced by Murray Dibbs, and executive produced by Lucas Santa Ana. with Locodelatillo and Matchbox Films serving as the production company.

"I love romantic comedies and breakup movies, and I wanted to combine them while also talking about something that interests me within the LGBT world", said Santa Ana. "We always talk about the discrimination we suffer from outsiders, but we rarely think about the discrimination we inflict on ourselves due to the prejudices we carry. In 300 Letters, I wanted to explore this topic with a fun and relaxed perspective."

300 Letters world premiered at the 2025 Roze Filmdagen Film Festival, held its US Premiere at Wicked Queer: Boston's LGBTQ+ Film Festival, and went on to hold a healthy festival life with screenings at Frameline San Francisco, Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs LGBTQ+ Film Festival, and FilmOut San Diego. The film is set to screen at Outshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival, Out Here Daytona Film Fest, and Way Out West Film Fest this Fall.
