LGBTQIA+ Discussion Group

by Michelle Wolf, MBA, MFT Program Supervisor, Addiction Medicine Services, UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor

LGBTQIA+ discussion group starting up again. There will be regular meetings every Thursday at 1 PM at 1330 W. 26th St, Erie (UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor.) Any person who is part of or affiliated with the LGBTQIA+ community is welcome.

Mental health and substance use present unique challenges to our community. There has also been an uptick in minority stress due to legal action and concerning rhetoric. Our discussion group is a safe place where everyone is welcome!

We offer a no-cost group facilitated by an experienced moderator and member of the LGBT+ community.

This is a place to share our struggles, journeys, triumphs, and setbacks and an opportunity to find community and support each other.

This group is no longer focusing solely on recovery but expanding the scope to include discussion on a multitude of topics and issues that affect our tribe.

There are more than one of us because we were never supposed to go it alone. Welcome friend, we have been waiting for you.
