Housing Survey 2024

The Pennsylvania Equality Project is conducting year 2 of a five-year study on housing affordability and sustainability. The survey runs from April 1 until May 31. It is open to all LGBTQ+ people who reside year-round in Pennsylvania or are students attending a post-secondary school in PA and reside either on or off campus. All personal identifying information shared on the survey will remain confidential. Results from the survey will be available in mid-July and shared through our website at https://paequality.com/survey/. The housing survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

According to last year's survey, 55% of all LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians rent their residence, and only 27% own their homes. Additionally, 16% of all respondents indicated that they or someone with whom they resided had been the victim of housing discrimination. David Moore, PA Equality Project President, said he is looking forward to comparing last year's results to this year's to determine if any trends can be measured.
